A walk down virtually any "main street" in America will convince
you that the nail business is "hot," with manicure salons opening
almost daily. This 250-Hour course prepares you to take the New York State
written and practical exams for a license as a Nail Specialist. But what
separates our school from the rest is our enthusiasm and emphasis on the
art as well as the technique of being a Nail Specialist.
The difference starts with our instructors, who have years of experience
and a true love for the art of manicures and pedicures. We focus on the
personal side of the business - the wonderful opportunity to be part of
a field in which you work one-on-one with people. Our students learn the
art of client communication, of meeting and interacting with all different
types of people, whether in a neighborhood nail salon, hair salon, department
store, top-of-the-line spa, or at a fashion show, magazine or advertising
shoot, film or TV set - all places that nail specialists can be found
"on the job" daily. We also teach all-important business skills,
from how to conduct yourself on a job interview to how to work
as a nail technician in a spa or open your own nail salon.
